I'm not trying to start a fight, and I agree with most of you. But seriously, have you been to a Broadway Musical, ever? I'm not talking about local productions, I'm talking about the stuff in Manhatten. Come on, I'm sure that the directors of that stuff are smarter than to have humans in spider suits. More than likely, they will not even have a spider on stage, probably a bunch of conflict noises and screams back stage. Either that or they'll have a mechanical spider that makes small motions. But the whole idea of a musical is disturbing and I am praying that it will flop before it crosses the border.

^ you have a point, the broadway people are good about that, but did you see lion king on broadway? i did...i mean it was great ...but they had tons of people dressed as animals and all that stuff. it fit perfectly for that type of play but for lord of the rings it just doesn't work

It would be a travesty. Actually I haven't seen any real Broadway shows, but common sense tells me that the directors know what they're doing.

It was ok. I don't think that LotR would be good though. It has too many battle scenes and singing would just ruin those.
