Haha yes! It's so creepy to think that Sauron served him, and he had so much more power than Sauron did. It must have been a LOT of power....

Yes, like Glorfindel was so powerful that he battled the king of the Balrogs, and...well...they both sort of died....but he DID defeat the balrog anyway. An elf couldn't do that in the 3rd Age, i'm sure. In the movie when they see the balrog (not even the king of the balrogs, just a regular balrog), Legolas's eyes get SO wide, and he freaks out about it. I thought it was cool how they showed how the elf reacted to the balrog, cause the elves would be the ones that know the most about Balrogs.
I think that when Legolas was a little elf child....he checked under his bed for Balrogs every night. I can picture it now...
Legolas: DADDY, THERE'S A BALROG UNDER MY BED!
Thranduil: zzzzzz Legolas, there's nothing there, just go to sleep zzzzz
Legolas: But I SAW it!
Thranduil: *huff* ok, hold on. *checks under bed* see, no Balrog. Now go to sleep.
Legolas: But Daddy--
Thranduil: And stop being such a pansy!
Legolas: ..... *pout*
Yup. That's wut happened.

Mirwen, if the forum ever gets back to the activity it was before and the member awards start up again... I guarantee you'll have a great shot at "randomest member!"

Haha well thankee! ;D It's all due to my thought-lead process being abnormal, I think. My randomness does have a rhyme and reason to it....but that's the scary part, heehee! Hm, I would enjoy having my own member award though! *daydreams about award* .... oh yes, we shall have to get activity up again!

Well, I voted for Morgoth. Why? Not sure; he's the "father" of all the villains in The Sil, LOTR, and so on, right? Almost everything happened because of him. (Oh, and by the way, because he's my favourite villian, I also hate him the most) ... Poor, poor Legolas! I wonder how he felt when he actually DID see a Balrog ... ;D

He wet his elven pants i'm sure. ;D
Haha, Morgoth is indeed the root of all middle-earthian evil...I liked Eöl and Maeglin as villains though. Cause they weren't really born bad, they were 'complicated' good guys. Like the sons of Fëanor....
Elrond: Oh yeah. Trying to kill your only son with a spear isn't evil at all....it's just complicated, so is murdering elves at Alqualondë *rolls eyes*

Witch-King of Angmar is my fave, probably 'cause he's my main character's daddy in a LotR fanfic. I think poor Leggie needed to bring a teddy bear to shield him from the Balrog (also comes in handy when you don't have an oliphaunt available for target practice ;-))
